FT-1802 audio to PC Interface by Mike Heiderscheidt – WD9GNX

Finished version 2 of my audio interface for playing back RAIN reports and uploading audio
files to the CAT 300 controller on the repeater.
The 1st version had some issues thus the need to rework it. The main issue was the
need to eat the mic when talking. I believe the switching method had something to do with that.
This interface can be adapted to other rigs that use the RJ12 6 conductor mic connections.
For rigs other then the FT1802 the mic connector wiring on the rig side might be different
then the FT 1802 so the intended user will have to consult the schematic and make appropriate
wiring changes in the interface.
Oh, the face plate is a standard 3 jack wall plate I purchased at Lowes. I had to make a
special capture plate (aluminum) for the switch.
